Missouri goes on the road for the first time this season at Purdue on Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. local time kickoff on the Big Ten Network.

The Tigers will be looking to erase some of the memories of last year’s 35-3 home loss to the Boilermakers, which was a low point in the 2017 season. It’s also a dramatic upgrade in opponent following wins over UT Martin and Wyoming the first two weeks.

“It’ll be a true test to see how mature we are to be able to handle it,” Barry Odom said in an interview posted by the Missouri Football Twitter account.

One player Missouri is aware of is all-purpose threat Rondale Moore, a Purdue receiver, who had 313 all-purpose yards in a 31-27 loss to Northwestern, which broke the program’s single-game record that mark had stood since 1972.

“You better pay attention, he’s every where they line him up,” Odom said.

The coach said he’s been pleased with how the Tigers have limited mistakes, especially mental mistakes through two games.

“Yes, you’ve got to score points or minimize points, but the game within the game is on playing one snap at a time. The mental approach to it,” Odom said. “The habits of how you practice usually carry over to how you play or don’t on Saturday. We’re talented enough in a number of spots to win every game if you take the right approach. Obviously there are huge challenges out there, but if you give a chance on Saturday to go play your best. The process of getting the most out of every person that’s going to touch the field. Our guys understand that.”
