Missouri has played 3 quarterbacks this season, and it appears that Missouri will go into this week’s Florida game with the possibility that any of them, or multiple players, could start and play.

Eli Drinkwitz has said that competition brings out the best in everybody, so he’ll leave it up to the competition between Connor Bazelak, Tyler Macon and Brady Cook.

“Everybody has responded really well,” Drinkwitz said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “I thought they competed really well. … Having to prepare for the multiplicity of defenses we have to face, I thought all 3 guys handled it well.”

Speaking of quarterbacks, Florida will bring the running ability of Emory Jones to Columbia this week, and Drinkwitz shared what that means for the defense.

“It presents an extra hat we have to tackle,” Drinkwitz said. “… Emory’s throwing the ball really well, so that adds a whole other dimension to their offense, with his ability to run, but also to stretch the field vertically.”
