Former Mizzou defender reportedly opting out of Bills' 2020 NFL season
Former Mizzou CB E.J. Gaines and the Buffalo Bills have seen a lot of each other the past 3 seasons.
After Gaines was drafted in 2014 by the Rams and played for the team for 3 seasons, he signed with the Bills in 2017. After playing for the Browns in 2018, he returned to Buffalo on a 1-year deal in 2019. However, he suffered an injury before the season and was released.
He signed another 1-year deal to play for the Bills back in April, but now, according to GM Brandon Beane, Gaines is opting out of the 2020 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic:
Bills’ GM Brandon Beane said CB EJ Gaines is opting out of the 2020 season.
