It would be an understatement to say the Missouri offense was bad last year.

The running game managed only five touchdowns all season and WR J’Mon Moore led the team with 29 catches for 350 yards.

But, this year, the Tigers have a new offensive coordinator in Josh Heupel and a more experienced Drew Lock manning the quarterback position.

Based on those changes, Moore expects to play a bigger part in the Tigers’ offense in 2016. Heupel said the redshirt junior is poised to take a big leap this season:

“If he puts it all together, the sky is the limit,” new Tigers offensive coordinator Josh Heupel said of Moore. “He’s extremely talented. He’s had a great training camp, and we want him to continue to grow and mature as a person and as a player. But I like the road that he’s gone on and what he’s done here the first 12 practices.”

Moore sounds like he’s gained confidence since last year and is anxious to get back on the field when the Tigers travel to take on West Virginia in the Sept. 3 season opener:

“I know my hard work is going to pay off,” Moore said. “My whole goal is to put the offense on my back and make it happen, play after play.”

If Moore can surpass last year’s numbers and Alabama graduate transfer WR Chris Black contributes in a big way, the Tigers should have a lot more offensive firepower than they had last season.
