While his brother got the vast majority of the recognition and accolades heading into last season, it was Jontay Porter that made the larger impact for Missouri last season due to the injuries to the one-and-done Tiger Michael Porter Jr.

Now with a season of experience under his belt, Jontay looks to be one of the leaders of Cuonzo Martin’s program heading into next season. In a recent interview with Mizzou Athletics, Jontay shared his thoughts on his freshman season and what Tiger fans can look forward to next season as Mizzou plans to make a return trip to the NCAA Tournament.

During his freshman season, Jontay played in 33 games and averaged 9.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Tigers.
