Luther Burden III wants Mizzou to just let Brady Cook, cook.

And it’s not hard to see why. The Tigers knocked off No. 15 Kansas State out of nowhere Saturday afternoon, and it seemed to be far from a fluke. Cook had the Missouri offense playing well in Week 3, totaling 356 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns on 23-35 completions. He was letting it fly, too, with an average of 10.2 yards gained per completion.

Burden caught both of those touchdown receptions on Saturday and was easily Cook’s best weapon. This score below proved key for the Tigers in a close affair.

Touchdown connection No. 1 between Burden and Cook could not have been more opposite.

After the game, Burden was simple with how he defined Cook’s game against the No. 15 ranked Wildcats: Just continue to let him cook.

The Tigers are looking good to start in an SEC landscape that has really struggled to start the season in the non-conference. The SEC was 3-6 against non-con opponents heading into Week 3, with the best win of the bunch being Tennessee over Virginia in Week 1.

Not anymore. The Tigers look like a legitimate threat based on their performance against the Wildcats Saturday. Now, it’s just a matter of replicating it.
