Missouri lost a key commitment in the class of 2024 on Friday afternoon.
3-star quarterback Daniel Kaelin backed off of his commitment to the Tigers. He originally committed to Mizzou back in March.
Here’s his announcement:

Kaelin initially chose Missouri over offers from programs such as North Carolina, Miami and Colorado, amongst others.
A Nebraska native, it’s possible Kaelin has decided to stay closer to home. Nebraska missed out on 5-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, who committed to Georgia earlier this month. With Raiola off the board, it’s possible the Huskers have focused their efforts on Kaelin.
He currently ranks as the No. 521 overall player and the No. 32 quarterback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 4 player from the state of Nebraska.
Missouri is now down to 2 committed prospects in the class of 2024: 3-star tackle Ryan Jostes and 3-star tight end Whit Hafer.
