Dylan Raiola is a 5-star quarterback and the top player in the country for the 2024 recruiting class. He was previously committed to Ohio State before reopening his recruitment in December.

Since reopening his recruitment, Raiola has been trending back and forth between USC’s program under Lincoln Riley and Kirby Smart’s Georgia program. In the end, it was the Bulldogs that pulled in the elite QB.

Raiola announced his commitment on Monday via social media:

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds out of Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Arizona, Raiola is the top player in the country per most recruiting services. He’s a 5-star recruit and the nation’s top overall prospect per the 247 Sports Composite.

There’s no denying the ability he possesses, and Raiola also comes from a football family. His father — Dominic Raiola — was an All-American center at Nebraska before spending more than a decade in the NFL. Donovan Raiola — Dylan’s uncle — is also a former lineman and is on Matt Rhule’s coaching staff at Nebraska.

Dylan Raiola’s impact on Georgia’s class of 2024

Prior to Raiola’s decision, Georgia already held the No. 4 recruiting class in the country per the team composite rankings. Raiola is the 3rd 5-star prospect to commit to the Bulldogs so far in the cycle.

Ryan Puglisi — a 4-star QB out of Connecticut — is also a part of the 2024 recruiting class for Georgia. We will see if Raiola’s move impacts Puglisi’s status at all, but there’s no denying landing Raiola is a massive win for the defending champs.
