Missouri was fined on Monday, as expected, after storming the court following the Tigers’ win over No. 1 Kansas.
According to a SEC news release, Missouri will incur a fine of $250,000 for their second offense, their first offense being a storming after beating Kansas State in football last season. Since Kansas is a non-conference opponent, Missouri’s fine is paid to Kansas.
Here’s more information regarding the fine levied against Missouri.

Mizzou basketball fans would tell you this court storming was worth every penny.
The Tigers scored their biggest hoops win since early 2023 when Mizzou beat Tennessee – twice. It’s also, obviously, the Tigers’ top win on the young season, one that has consisted of: A loss to Memphis, 7 dominant or semi-dominant wins over sub-100 KenPom teams and a win over No. 1 Kansas, 76-67.
The catalyst for Sunday’s win over the Jayhawks was Tamar Bates, who posted perhaps his best outing at Missouri. The Indiana transfer from 2023 dropped 29 points with 5 steals on 9-15 shooting, leading both teams by 10 points.
Anthony Robinson had a great outing as well, scoring 11 points with 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 3 assists – not to mention just 2 turnovers against one of the best defenses in the country.
Mizzou is back in action on Saturday when the Tigers face LIU.
