SEC players flooded Mobile, Alabama this week alongside other college football players. Those standouts took part in practice sessions leading up to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, and one player stood out from the rest.

According to Jim Nagy — Executive Director for the Senior Bowl — Mizzou’s Darius Robinson received recognition as the “Overall Practice Player of the Week.” Nagy cited a panel of NFL scouts and front-office executives that voted on the honor.

The defensive lineman has been shining all week long, and ESPN’s Matt Miller had Robinson as one of the top overall risers of the week. Miller continues to project Robinson as a first-round talent when the draft rolls around:

The buzz on Robinson started building as soon as we touched down in Mobile, Alabama, on Monday afternoon. The 6-foot-5, 286-pound defender is all muscle and moves like Arik Armstead with fantastic agility and flexibility. Robinson, who played both outside and inside the tackle at Missouri, moved throughout the defensive line in practices and won every rep I saw him take. After 8.5 sacks this season, he has legitimate top-32 talent and should be in the first round of most post-Senior Bowl mock drafts. (Mine comes out Monday, and you can bet he’ll be there.)
