SEC Shorts dedicated an entire episode to Missouri’s undefeated start, and added some usual SEC punchlines about the Tigers’ contributions to the conference.

“Mizzou wants you!,” the fans says to the College Football Playoff.

Mizzou then joked about a panic room, and how this wasn’t going how he planned.

“I just thought you’d want to meet an undefeated SEC team,” he said, and that’s when things turn.

The Playoff replied: “Wait, undefeated? SEC? Who are you again?”

“Missouri!”

“And you’re in the SEC?”

Then Missouri responds, “I’m getting real tired of that comedic narrative. Yes, I am in the SEC, and you probably haven’t heard of me because I’ve been laying kind of low the past 9 seasons.”

He then recalled the 2007 season with the BCS “mom.”

Then they went down Missouri’s schedule and resume, and highlighted key wins, especially the last-second field goal winner against Kansas State.

Just as the Tiger got down on himself because of shortcomings, the Playoff cheered him up.

“You do have things you have to work on, but so does every other team in the SEC,” the Playoff said. “You took Georgia down to the wire last year and who says you can’t do it again. … No matter what happens moving forward, you should be happy where you are, and even if you don’t make the Playoffs this year, you can still do some special things, I’m happy that I got to meet you.”
