Three weeks after he was originally suspended for a violation of team rules, Mizzou RB Nate Strong returned to practice on Tuesday:

After running for 137 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore in 2016, Strong missed out on several valuable spring practice sessions as he attempts to work his way into a bigger role for the Tigers.

However, he’s back now and Mizzou’s spring game isn’t until April 15, so he’ll have time to catch coach Barry Odom’s eye over the next two weeks.

With Damarea Crockett returning as a sophomore after running for 1,062 yards and 10 scores as a freshman, and with senior Ish Witter returning as a backup, there might not be many carries for Strong in 2017, especially if he can’t stay on the field.

It never hurts to have several impact players in the same backfield, though.
