For the first time ever, the Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team made it to the SEC Tournament semifinals (granted, they’ve only been in the conference since 2012).

Their reward? A date against No. 1 seed Mississippi State — the runners up in the last two NCAA Women’s Tournaments. The Tigers ended up losing 71-56, but will likely make the NCAA Tournament this year, so they’ll have at least one more game.

The highlight for Mizzou, though, came from senior Sophie Cunningham, who broke Mizzou’s all-time scoring record (set in 1985 by Joni Davis) with this jump shot:

Cunningham finished with 33 points in the loss, and now has 2,157 career points. Davis finished her storied career with 2,126 points.

How many more points can Cunningham rack up in her NCAA Tournament run? That remains to be seen, but she is now the Tigers’ all-time leading scorer — a record that may stand for another 30-plus years.
