The NCAA Softball Women’s College World Series continues Sunday, June 5, from OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City. Loser’s bracket and elimination games are on the schedule for Sunday.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State remain undefeated in the double-elimination tournament. The Sooners beat the Texas Longhorns 7-2 Saturday, while the Cowgirl softball team defeated the Florida Gators 2-0.

Texas will face Arizona at 7 p.m., while Florida will face UCLA at 3 p.m. ET. Losers of both games will be sent home in the elimination round.

Sixty four teams entered the tournament which began May 20, 2022, and the Women’s College World Series is set to start on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Thirty-two teams were originally selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Softball Committee. Sixteen teams were seeded and placed at one of the 16 regional sites. The regional site winners advanced to a best-of-3 Super Regionals. The winners of the Super Regionals advanced to the World Series.

Where we currently stand

  • Winner’s bracket games were played on Saturday, June 4.
  • Oklahoma beat Texas 7-2. The Longhorns dropped to the loser’s bracket and will play on Sunday.
  • Oklahoma State beat Florida 2-0. The Gators dropped to the loser’s bracket and will play on Sunday.
  • Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are sitting in the driver’s seat in their respective brackets, and the rivals may face one another in the final College World Series best of 3.
