Coastal Carolina is playing in its second College World Series and has made it another trip to the CWS Finals. The Chanticleers defeated Louisville in an 11-3 blowout to lock up their side of the bracket, notching their 26th consecutive win. They await a best-of-3 championship series with LSU or Arkansas.

The Chants opened up a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning and never looked back. Coastal Carolina scored its 6 runs without leaving the yard. Six runs came home on 4 hits, 2 hit by pitch and 1 walk. Colby Thorndyke led the way with 4 RBIs, including 3 on a bases-clearing double in the 1st.

Coastal Carolina added 2 more runs in the 5th inning to make it 8-0 before Louisville got on the board. The Cardinals scored 3 in the 6th inning, but stranded 2 runs. The Chanticleers extinguished any Louisville momentum by scoring 2 more to make it a 10-3 game in the bottom of the 6th inning.

A best-of-3 series, the CWS Finals begin on Saturday. Coastal Carolina will face LSU or Arkansas. The Tigers can punch their ticket with a win on Wednesday night. The Razorbacks need to win Wednesday and force the if-necessary game on Thursday.
