SEC baseball is winding down as the final games of the regular season are set to begin on Thursday.
In 2024, the SEC broke the record for most NCAA Tournament bids with 11, and according to D1Baseball’s projections released on Tuesday, that record could fall in 2025: 13 of the conference’s 16 teams are predicted to make the field.
Texas, despite dropping 2 of 3 to Florida, remain as the projected No. 1 overall seed. In fact, 3 of the top overall seeds and 6 of the top 7 are projected to be out of the SEC. Seven teams are projected to be regional hosts.
And there could be a 14th team in the field. Texas A&M is slated as a First Four Out after a sweep at the hands of Missouri, who entered the series winless in league play. The Aggies wrap up the regular season at Georgia.
Here are the latest projections:
- Texas — Austin Regional host, No. 1 overall seed
- LSU — Baton Rouge Regional host, No. 2 overall seed
- Arkansas — Fayetteville Regional host, No. 3 overall seed
- Vanderbilt — Nashville Regional host, No. 5 overall seed
- Georgia — Athens Regional host, No. 6 overall seed
- Auburn — Auburn Regional host, No. 7 overall seed
- Alabama — Tuscaloosa Regional host, No. 14 overall seed

- Florida — Raleigh Region 2-seed (No. 15 NC State host)
- Tennessee — Morgantown Region 2-seed (No. 16 West Virginia host)
