The latest top 25 rankings from D1Baseball are out as we hit April 7, and a new SEC team leads the top after Tennessee suffered its first SEC series loss of the season.
On Monday, the latest D1Baseball rankings dropped with none other than Arkansas headlining the latest poll. The Razorbacks have been in the top 5 all season long and moved to 30-3 on the season with a 4-0 week, including a dominant weekend sweep of Mizzou.
Behind Arkansas, the SEC rounded out the complete top 3 with Texas and LSU combining to go 7-1 overall last week. Clemson at No. 4 overall breaks up the run by the SEC in the top 5.
As for the defending champion Vols, Tony Vitello’s group suffered a rough weekend while losing both games of a Saturday doubleheader to Texas A&M. Though entering the year as the preseason No. 1, the Aggies have struggled until outscoring Tennessee 26-9 in winning both games of the doubleheader.
The race to the College World Series in Omaha is heating up throughout April, and the latest CWS odds at DraftKings continue to heavily feature the SEC. Tennessee (+400) and LSU (+750) lead the way while new No. 1 Arkansas checks in at +900. Track those odds all season long with the best betting apps available!
