Georgia scored a major win in the transfer portal on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

Former Cal guard Jeremiah Wilkinson has committed to Mike White and the Bulldogs. Greenlight Media reported the news first. Wilkinson, a 6-foot-1 freshman from Powder Springs, Georgia, was a 3-star recruit out of the 2024 class. He signed with Cal and immediately found a major role off the bench for himself. During the 2024-25 season, Wilkinson earned a spot on the ACC All-Freshman team and was named the ACC’s Sixth Man of the Year.

He’ll have 3 years of eligibility remaining.

In his lone season with the Golden Bears, Wilkinson averaged 15.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 27.3 minutes a game. He scored in double digits in 25 of his 32 overall appearances. He scored 20 points in a game 10 times, the second-most by a Cal freshman in program history.

One of the youngest Division I players in the country last season, Wilkinson scored a career-high 36 points against Notre Dame on March 8. He also had 30 in an overtime win over Miami on Jan. 25, becoming just the second player in school history with multiple 30-point games as a freshman. Wilkinson also scored 21 points against Duke on Feb. 12, the most by a visiting freshman in Cameron Indoor Stadium since Caleb Love scored 25 in February 2021.

He moved into the starting lineup for his final 14 games and averaged 19.5 points per game over that span.

Wilkinson will need to work on his efficiency. As a starter, he shot 37% from the field and 31.5% from the 3-point line. He led Cal in 3s, making 1.9 a game, but posted season-long shooting splits of 39.9% from the field, 32.1% from 3, and 78.6% from the charity stripe.

Wilkinson becomes the first portal addition for Georgia this offseason.
