Joe Lunardi is out with his latest Bracketology update and he has 8 teams from the SEC in the field.
Mississippi State as an 11-seed is among the last 4 in, while Alabama is considered the top overall seed. The other teams are Tennessee (3-seed), Kentucky (8), Texas A&M (8), Arkansas (9), Auburn (10) and Missouri (10). Kentucky has played itself off the bubble in recent weeks, and North Carolina is now considered the blue blood most in danger of being on the bubble or missing the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats visit Florida on Wednesday in a 7 p.m. meeting that will be the latest test for the Cats to stay in the field and away from the bubble.
The SEC schedule on Tuesday night:
Georgia at Arkansas 9 p.m. SEC Network
Tennessee at Texas A&M 7 p.m. ESPN
Mississippi State at Missouri 7 p.m. SEC Network
The SEC Tournament, which is set to begin on March 8, will likely sort out plenty of the bubble issues and solidify the position for multiple teams.
