Joe Lunardi is a busy man now that the calendar has flipped to February. We’re hitting the stretch run in the college basketball season, which means there aren’t many more games left for teams looking to work their way into the field of 68 NCAA Tournament teams.
On Tuesday, Lunardi released his latest bracketology projections for ESPN, and he included 7 SEC teams in the tournament field.
As you can see below, he has Auburn as the No. 1 overall seed, Florida as one of the “Last Four In,” and Mississippi State as one of the “First Four Out”:
- Auburn — No. 1 seed (Midwest)
- Kentucky — No. 2 seed (South)
- Tennessee — No. 4 seed (East)
- Alabama — No. 5 seed (South)
- LSU — No. 6 seed (West)
- Arkansas — No. 9 seed (West)
- Florida — No. 12 seed (Midwest)
- Mississippi State — First Four Out
We’ll see how this week’s SEC action impacts the projections.
