SEC bubble watch

South Carolina is on the right side of the bubble in Lunardi’s latest projections, but that could soon change. The Gamecocks have turned some heads by starting the 2023-24 season 15-3 overall and 3-2 in SEC play.

Lamont Paris’ squad faces a big test with No. 6 Kentucky visiting Columbia on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET, SEC Network). Lunardi warns that a home loss could put South Carolina on the other side of the bubble.

The SEC’s other bubble teams play on Wednesday. Ole Miss hosts Arkansas (9 p.m. ET, ESPNU) while Florida is back home to take on Mississippi State (8:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network). Both the Rebels and Gators are 2-3 in SEC play so far.
