The 2022-23 college basketball season is winding down, which means we’re getting closer to the SEC tournament in Nashville.
The SEC tournament bracket will be determined by how the teams finish in the conference standings. While teams with double-byes are at an advantage, seeding isn’t always the best indicator of which team is most likely to win the tournament.
SEC Network analysts Ron Slay and Pat Bradley recently shared their latest power rankings, focusing on the 5 conference teams playing the best right now. They agreed on Alabama and Texas A&M as the top 2 squads, but differed the rest of the way.

Bradley and Slay also agreed that Vanderbilt, on a 5-game winning streak, belongs in the top 5 of the current power rankings, but had the Commodores at different spots. The pair were split when it came to Auburn, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Tennessee belonging in the top 5.
We’ll see who’s hot in Nashville come March 8.
