18 SEC players make Sports Illustrated’s Preseason All-American Teams

Several SEC players have been mentioned for different Preseason All-American lists for 2016, and Sports Illustrated is the latest media outlet to release them.

Eighteen different Southeastern Conference players made the first and second teams.

The biggest surprise may be on the defensive side of the ball with Jalen Tabor making the second team rather than the first team, but other than that, there were no major surprises.

Here are SI.com’s SEC Preseason All-Americans for 2016:

1st Team Offense
RB: Leonard Fournette, LSU
WR: Calvin Ridley, Alabama
OT: Cam Robinson, Alabama

1st Team Defense
DL: Myles Garrett, Texas A&M
DL: Jonathan Allen, Alabama
LB: Reuben Foster, Alabama

1st Team Special Teams
P: JK Scott, Alabama
R: Evan Berry, Tennessee

2nd Team Offense
WR: Christian Kirk, Texas A&M
TE: OJ Howard, Alabama
C: Ethan Pocic, LSU
OG: Branden Smith, Auburn

2nd Team Defense
DE: Charles Harris, Mizzou
DE: Carl Lawson, Auburn
LB: Tim Williams, Alabama
CB: Jalen Tabor, Florida
S: Eddie Jackson, Alabama
S: Jamal Adams, LSU
