It may be early, but South Carolina’s 2014 season hangs in the balance this afternoon at Williams-Brice Stadium.

A loss to fifth-ranked Georgia all but eliminates the Gamecocks from SEC East title contention and pushes the program out of the Top 25 for the first time since the 2010 season.

Limiting Todd Gurley is the obvious game plan defensively and South Carolina will also try and manage its own rushing attack led by Mike Davis. The Gamecocks have out-scored the Bulldogs 52-13 over the last two meetings in Columbia including a 35-7 victory during the 2012 campaign.
