2019 NFL Draft: SEC has twice as many draft picks as other Power 5 conferences through Round 2

The second round of the NFL Draft took place Friday night from Nashville, Tennessee, in front of a packed crowd on Lower Broadway.

The first SEC player off the board in the second round was former Florida OT Jawaan Taylor (No. 35 overall) to the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He was quickly followed by former South Carolina WR Deebo Samuel.

Mizzou QB Drew Lock was also selected in the second round by the Denver Broncos. He had been projected as high as a top-five pick by some.

All total, 13 former SEC players were drafted in the second round. Below is a breakdown:
