The nation’s No. 4 OLB Trenton Simpson (Charlotte, N.C.) narrowed down his list to five programs Friday evening, with three from the SEC.
Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee all made the cut, along with in-state North Carolina and Miami. The Tar Heels may be the favorite. Simpson is rated a 4-star prospect and ranks as the nation’s No. 67 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound LB has visited Georgia twice in the last month.
