Elijah Jeudy has had a bit of a topsy turvy recruitment, but it may be coming to an end soon.
The weakside defensive end recruit out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, previously committed to Georgia before he re-opened his recruitment, and now it is down to Texas A&M and the Bulldogs, which he tweeted was “50/50.” The 6-foot-3 and 246 pounder is a 4-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite.
Gigem247 reported that Jeudy is teammates with current Texas A&M commit Tyreek Chappell and has taken multiple trips to campus already.
He de-committed from Georgia in September.
“I like everything about A&M and Georgia,” Jeudy told 247Sports’ Brian Dohn earlier this fall. “For me, with the decommitment, I felt like I committed too early. At the time, I thought I was ready, but as the months went on, I saw I committed too early.
“I love everything about A&M. I love the academics. I like how the coaches treat the players, how we can talk to the coaches about everything. And the same thing for Georgia.”
Dohn offered this scouting report of Jeudy and compared him to the Dallas Cowboys DeMarcus Lawrence:
“Jeudy has length and ideal size for rush end who can drop into coverage. Developed body has good lower-body strength. Athletic with burst and ability to change direction. Flexibility to dip shoulder and explode around edge. Uses hands well to keep offensive linemen off. Can redirect down line of scrimmage. Excellent body control. Strong with gap integrity. Takes on blocks from proper side. Uses angles well. Willing to try different moves. Quick first step inside. Must get stronger in upper body. Is not asked to play in space often so will have to show understanding of it. Has to work on combination move sets. Impact player at Top 15 school. Day 3 NFL Draft potential.”

Here are his highlights from Hudl:
I know that there’s been a lot of rumors saying that I will be decommitting from Georgia. I’ve been fighting and debating it for a couple of months now and I’ve came to the conclusion that I have to do what is best for me. So with that being said I will be decommitting from UGA.
