Florida’s 2024 recruiting class may not include one of its top commitments when the Early Signing Period dust settles. Xavier Filsaime has received a Crystal Ball projection to sign with Texas from 247Sports recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong.
Filsaime, a McKinney, Texas standout, is rated 5-stars, the No. 2 safety and No. 31 prospect overall in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite. He verbally pledged to the Gators on April 13, but is in Austin for a Texas official visit.

Filsaime is one of three 5-star commitments in Florida’s 2024 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 5 nationally on the Composite. That ranking, though, will plummet if Filsaime and others ink elsewhere during the Early Signing Period, which will be held Wednesday through Friday.
The Gators and Longhorns will face off on Nov. 9 in Austin. We’ll see which side Filsaime is on in their first SEC meeting.
