Xavier Griffin decommitted from USC on Wednesday afternoon and has already publicized a series of official visits that he plans to take this summer.

The 5-star linebacker will be taking trips to at least 2 SEC campuses in June. He’s scheduled to visit Alabama on June 6 and Texas on June 13. Griffin also has trips lined up to Ohio State and Florida State in the coming weeks.

On3’s Chad Simmons was first to share the news of Griffin’s summer travel schedule:

Griffin is an elite prospect in the class of 2026. He’s the No. 22 overall player and the No. 2 linebacker in the country for this cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Griffin had been committed to USC since July of 2024 prior to his decommitment.

Another SEC team who could be in the mix for Griffin is Georgia. The talented linebacker attends Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia. He initially received an offer from the Bulldogs way back in January of 2024.

As a 5-star prospect, Griffin profiles as a potential contributor early on in his college career — wherever he may end up. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds.

Griffin will be able to officially sign with a program during the Early Signing Period in December.
