The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party won’t be the only time Jim McElwain and Kirby Smart battle it out in 2017.

Florida and Georgia are the two SEC schools in the hunt for 5-star OL Jamaree Salyer, the No. 1 offensive guard of the 2018 class on 247Sports Composite. He recently named his top six while taking part at The Opening.

“I’m just looking to get around to some more schools,” Salyer told Scout.com. “The main schools for me right now are Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Stanford, Florida and Notre Dame.”

The next step for the Gators and Bulldogs is to stay in Salyer’s top three, which will come this fall.

“I’m still open to some (other) schools, but those are the main schools for me right now. I’ll probably narrow it down to a top three in the middle of the season and make my decision after the season.”

Salyer, who measures 6-foot-4, 342 pounds, is an Atlanta native playing for Pace Academy. McElwain has often referenced Atlanta as part of the “five-hour radius” covering Florida’s primary recruiting area. Smart, however, has made it a point to keep the top Georgia prospects from leaving the Peach State since arriving at UGA.

Highlights of the No. 9 overall recruit in the 2018 class can be viewed below:
