Adding a 5-star wideout would be a huge get for Jim McElwain, Ed Orgeron or Kirby Smart, but all three will have to be a little patient.
Brennan Eagles, a highly sought after wide receiver out of Houston, announced he’s postponing his commitment date Friday on Twitter.

Eagles, who had previously planned to commit on July 17, has not offered any details on the “technical difficulties” mentioned in the tweet. On April 30, the 5-star wideout revealed a top 10 of Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas and USC.
Prior to Friday’s announcement, recruiting experts had predicted Eagles would commit to the home-state Longhorns. Fifteen experts submitted Crystal Ball predictions on 247Sports for Eagles’ commitment, with 100 percent picking Texas as his college destination. For fans of Florida, Georgia and LSU, they can hope that their team has made a late surge and perhaps influenced today’s announcement. The 6-foot-3, 214-pound wideout is rated the No. 3 Texas prospect, No. 4 wide receiver and No. 23 overall recruit by the 247Sports Composite.
