The Atlanta Braves clinched the National League pennant on Saturday night, eliminating the Los Angeles Dodgers. Over in the American League, the Houston Astros are the champions, beating the Boston Red Sox to advance to the World Series.

When those 2 teams face off with a World Series title on the line, there will be plenty of former SEC flavor on both rosters.

As you can see below, 7 former SEC standouts will compete for a championship. The Braves have 3 former SEC stars, while the Astros’ roster sports 4. Texas A&M and Arkansas each have 2 former players on World Series rosters:

Atlanta Braves (3)

  • AJ Minter, LHP, Texas A&M
  • Drew Smyly, LHP, Arkansas
  • Dansby Swanson, SS, Vanderbilt

Houston Astros (4)

  • Alex Bregman, INF, LSU
  • Kendall Graveman, RHP, Mississippi State
  • Brooks Raley, LHP, Texas A&M
  • Ryne Stanek, RHP, Arkansas

Game 1 of the World Series is scheduled to take place in Houston on Tuesday night. The game starts at 8:09 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on FOX.
