Your favorite college football picker is officially 80. Yes, that crazy, headgear-donning Lee Corso was born 80 years ago on August 7, 1935 (Okay, we’re one day late).

While Corso’s on-air abilities have diminished in recent years due to some health problems, the man is still must-watch television every saturday morning at the conclusion of ESPN’s College GameDay. Over the years, Corso has been a major reason why College GameDay has turned into the best sports television show for many of us college football fans.

In honor of the man turning 80, we’re providing 8 excellent Lee Corso moments from over the years:

Corso shootin’ guns

Giving Corso some firearms is always a great idea for the conclusion of College GameDay. You better duck, Herbstreit.

Corso shootin’ more guns

When a team’s mascot carries guns, it’s a safe bet Corso is going to get his hands on them.

Lee Corso vs Will Ferrell

As the show got bigger, the celebrity guests increased. Will Ferrell versus Lee Corso in the Oregon Duck costume is amazing.

Corso says Uga is ugly!

Live animals sometimes make their way to the set, and despite giving a monologue on how he loved the city of Athens, Ga., Corso didn’t share the same fond feelings for Uga.

Lee Corso at the Grove

Last year’s College GameDay at the Grove was epic, and Corso delivered as usual.

Bill Murray slams Corso, chucks the Seminole spear

A classic moment occurred when actor and comedian Bill Murray tackled Corso for picking Florida State. Chucking the spear added to the hilarity.

Corso lets out an expletive during the live headgear segment

One of the funniest moments over the years happened to be one of Corso’s biggest blunders on the show. He got a little overexcited during the below clip and let out an F-bomb. The best part is Herbstreit’s and Fowler’s reactions to hearing Corso let out the expletive. Corso issued an apology during the subsequent broadcast, but none was needed. If there’s ever a live F-bomb you can forgive, it’s got to be this one, right?

Happy Birthday, Lee! Here’s to many more years and plenty of hilarious headgear picks in the future!
