Sam Pittman is wasting no time recruiting Lance Jackson. Brian Perroni of 247Sports reports that the eighth-grader from Texas picked up an Arkansas offer, his first as a college football recruit, on Wednesday afternoon.
Jackson is already turning heads at Texarkana Pleasant Grove. This week, the school shared a video of Jackson in the weight room.

Perroni points out that Jackson has ties to other SEC schools. Larry Jackson, Lance’s father, was a center for the Aggies basketball team in the 90s. Lance’s older brother Landon Jackson, a class of 2021 4-star weak-side defensive end, signed with LSU in December and enrolled in January.
Texas A&M, LSU and others have plenty of time to get in on Jackson’s recruitment. He’s expected to be a highly sought-after prospect.
