9 SEC teams listed in Pro Football Focus’s early 2020 top 25 rankings

Now that it looks like the 2020 college football season will for sure happen, and will likely start on time, preseason rankings are starting to roll in.
It won’t be easy to rank the teams since there were very few spring practices before everything got shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but there are still some teams that appear to be elite.
This week, Pro Football Focus released its early top 25 rankings, and as you can see below, an impressive 9 SEC squads made the cut:
- No. 3 — Alabama
- No. 4 — LSU
- No. 5 — Georgia
- No. 6 — Florida
- No. 10 — Auburn
- No. 14 — Texas A&M
- No. 19 — Tennessee
- No. 20 — Kentucky
- No. 25 — Mississippi State
How will these teams actually fare this fall? We’ll find out soon enough if PFF’s rankings are accurate.
