Aaron Murray names 2 SEC QBs as his top performers of Week 1

Several quarterbacks took the field and impressed in Week 1 of the 2022 college football season. Former Georgia signal-caller Aaron Murray recently released his top performers of Week 1, and two SEC quarterbacks were included.
Those were Anthony Richardson of Florida at No. 2 and Stetson Bennett of Georgia at No. 1.
“One one the best, cleanest first games I’ve seen in my life,” Murray said of Bennett. “You earn the nickname ‘Studson’ after that performance.”
Murray has been one of the biggest advocates of Bennett, who still seems to be one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in college football. That looks to change though, if Bennett continues to put on the outstanding level of performance he did on Saturday.
Bennett completed 25-of-31 passes for 368 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions, also adding one touchdown on the ground.
Murray seemed almost as impressed who Richardson. His sample size remains small, but he shows the traits of a player who could be a first-round pick. If these two maintain this type of play throughout the season, it is not out of the picture for them to both become early-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.
