A 2016 Tennessee signee has reportedly left the Volunteers and enrolled in junior college. David Ubben of The Athletic reports that Latrell Williams is now enrolled at Independence Community College in Kansas, the school most recently featured on the popular Netflix series “Last Chance U.” ICC head coach Jason Brown recently resigned after it surfaced that he told a German player, “I’m your new Hitler.”
A product of Columbia High School in Lake City, Fla., Williams was rated 3 stars, the No. 100 Florida recruit, No. 111 wide receiver and No. 712 prospect nationally in the class of 2016 on the 247Sports Composite. He chose UT over 13 other offers, including Miami and Virginia Tech.
At Tennessee, Williams redshirted his first season. In 2017, he appeared in one game, the Volunteers’ season-opener against Georgia Tech. His UTsports bio also lists him as participating in one 2018 game.
Ex-Tennessee WR Latrell Williams has left the program and enrolled at Independence Community College (aka Netflix’s Last Chance U) this semester, two ICC coaches told The Athletic.
