Fake accounts are known to circulate on Twitter, and sometimes they’ll even gain traction, enough that people fall for the tactics.
That’s what happened Wednesday with LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton. There was a fake Fulton account that had tweeted negative things about Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses, who just suffered a season-ending ACL injury at practice this week.
The fake Fulton account, which used his name and image, mocked Moses. But Fulton took to his real Twitter to clear up the situation about the fake account, which has since been suspended:
Prayers out to Dylan, I would never wish injury on anyone! That is not my page who tweeted those things.. report them for me

SEC rivals may talk trash during the course of the season, but Fulton showed that players won’t take it as far to mock injuries, like the fake account did.
Fulton is expected to have a big season for the Tigers, as the senior is one of their starting cornerbacks entering Saturday’s opener against Georgia Southern. Meanwhile, Moses will be a big loss for the Crimson Tide, who begin the season against Duke on Saturday.
LSU and Alabama, SEC West rivals, will face off on Nov. 9 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
