A.J. Brown appears to have lost a friendly wager among teammates.

The former Ole Miss wideout wore an Alabama hoodie as he boarded the Philadelphia Eagles’ flight to Florida on Sunday for Monday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brown’s Rebels fell to UA 24-10 on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Philadelphia’s social media team tagged former Crimson Tide standouts DeVonta Smith and Jalen Hurts as the players presumably involved in a bet on the game. The Eagles’ roster also includes Alabama alumni Landon Dickerson, Josh Jobe, Eli Ricks and Tyler Steen. Brown is a bit outnumbered as the only former Rebel.

Rivalries aside, Hurts, Brown and Smith have created quite the offensive juggernaut as teammates. Brown led all Eagles receivers with 1,496 yards in 2022. Smith finished not far behind with 1,196 receiving yards. Hurts threw for a total of 3,701 yards.

This season, Hurts has thrown for 363 yards through 2 games. Smith is out to an early lead with 178 receiving yards, while Brown has 108 so far.

Monday’s game is set for 7:15 p.m. ET on ABC.
