Alabama has gone outside the country for its newest commitment. Justin Okoronkwo from Germany has pledged to play for Nick Saban’s program.

Okoronkwo, a linebacker, shared the big news on Twitter.

Okoronkwo is listed as measuring 6-3, 200 pounds. The 247Sports Composite rates him as the Class of 2024’s No. 2 player from Germany, No. 84 linebacker and No. 1,000 prospect overall.

Six teams have extended scholarships to Okoronkwo. He committed to Maryland back on Nov. 29, 2022. Alabama extended a scholarship offer to Okoronkwo the same weekend that he took his official visit to Maryland.

Okoronkwo decommitted from Mike Locksley’s program on Saturday night. South Carolina, Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State were the other teams involved in Okoronkwo’s recruitment.

With Okoronkwo on board, Alabama now has 11 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. Crimson Tide fans can get a preview of what Okoronkwo brings to Tuscaloosa by checking out his Hudl highlight reel below:
