Alabama recruiting has been on a tear as of late, and there’s no sign of the Crimson Tide slowing down.

In the month of June, Alabama landed commitments from 11 prospects, including 8 blue-chippers:

Rankings via 247Sports Composite

  • 4-star RB Anthony Rogers (No. 109 overall, June 2)
  • 4-star QB Keelon Russel (No. 34 overall, June 4)
  • 4-star CB Chuck McDonald (No. 73 overall, June 8)
  • 4-star IOL Michael Caroll (No. 188 overall, June 10)
  • 3-star OT Mal Waldrep (No. 500 overall, June 11)
  • 3-star P Alex Asparuhov (no Composite ranking, June 15)
  • 3-star DL London Simmons (No. 510 overall, June 16)
  • 4-star OT Jackson Lloyd (No. 137 overall, June 18)
  • 4-star OT Micah DeBose (No.96 overall, June 22)
  • 4-star LB Dawson Merritt (No. 99 overall, June 26)
  • 5-star CB Dijon Lee (No. 22 overall, June 28)

Those 11 commitments in just 1 month are more than some SEC programs have for the entire 2025 cycle. As of July 3, Ole Miss sits at 10 pledges, while Vanderbilt has 9 and Florida just 8.

At 21 commits, UA’s recruiting will slow down before too long with so many “spots” in the class accounted for, but not yet. The Tide delivered some more early fireworks with two new pledges in the first week of July.

On Tuesday, Alabama got its first commitment of the month when Kaleb Edwards pledged to play for Kalen DeBeoer’s program. Out of El Dorado Hills (California) Oak Ridge High School, Edwards is a 6-6, 240-pound tight end. He’s rated 4-stars overall, the No. 8 player at his position, No. 14 recruit in the state of California and No. 159 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite.

The momentum continued with another big commitment Wednesday.

Justin Hill, a blue-chip edge defender, chose Alabama over Ohio State, Oregon, USC and others. The Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods High School standout is listed at 6-3, 220 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Hill is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 player at his position, No. 4 player in the state and No. 58 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class.

Hill’s verbal pledge means Alabama has 21 players in its 2025 recruiting class following the decommitment of 4-star Maryland ATH Zymear Smith.
