Alabama DB Tony Brown has qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships after posting a time of 13.52 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles.

The two-sport athlete, currently suspended by the NCAA from the gridiron, hasn’t had many positive football headlines as of late.

Nick Saban sent Brown home prior to the Cotton Bowl and did not make trip to the national championship game due to a violation of team rules. In January, Saban said Brown was on the team but faced future suspensions. At a March press conference, Saban said he was waiting for more information to make a decision regarding Brown’s status.

In April, it was reported that Brown is facing an indefinite suspension by the NCAA.

Alabama has appealed Brown’s suspension and is awaiting a decision.
