Alabama’s defense turned up the heat in the second half, and slowed the Ole Miss offense on several drives. Then after being gashed to start the final drive, the Crimson Tide stood up at the last minute to hang on.

Ole Miss had 3 straight drives end with a combined 31 yards, as the Rebels punted twice, and had another drive end on downs. That was until Ole Miss turned to Quinshon Judkins and he poured it on with 49 yards on 2 players, and then added 3 more yards on a catch and run.

But when it mattered most, Alabama forced an incomplete pass on fourth down to ice the victory, 30-24. Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart had 2 incomplete passes, a sack, and a scramble for no gain in his final 4 plays.

For Alabama, it avoided its first 3-loss season since 2010, back-to-back losses for the first time since 2013, and the first loss to Ole Miss since 2015.
