An Alabama defensive back is reportedly looking at continuing his college football career elsewhere.

AL.com’s Matt Zenitz reports that Ronald Williams Jr. has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. A player is not bound to leave the program upon entering his name into the portal but other programs are allowed to recruit him and contact him.

Williams signed in Alabama’s 2020 class as a transfer from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. He was an NJCAA All-American as a sophomore and rated 4-stars and the No. 12 JUCO prospect in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite. Williams chose Alabama over 20 other scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Williams made the early portion of the 2020 season with an arm injury. He appeared in three games against Mississippi State, Kentucky and Arkansas. He recorded a tackle against MSU.
