Alabama DL Tim Keenan III isn’t quite done in Tuscaloosa.
Keenan completed his redshirt senior season in 2024, Year 4 of his college football career. He has the option to play professionally in 2025, but announced Saturday that he will be back at Alabama.
Keenan took to Instagram to announce his 2025 decision.
First and foremost, I want to give God all of the Glory,” Keenan wrote in his announcement note.
“Now to my Alabama Crimson Tide Family – it is a blessing and privilege to be able to call this great University my Alma Mater. From earning my degree to making a name for myself on the field, I thank God for allowing me to grow at the best college in America. I am honored and blessed to wear the Crimson and White number 96, and I am forever grateful for all of the things I have accomplished in my time here at Alabama.
“I want to apologize for how things ended this season. I never wanted to go out like that…so that’s why I’m not.
“When I committed to Alabama my goal was to win a National Championship and that’s what I will work every single day to do, IN JESUS’ NAME. With 1 year of eligibility left, I’ll be returning for the 2025 season. I can’t wait to get back to work!
“Roll Tide, Tim Keenan III
A former Birmingham (Alabama) Ramsay standout, Keenan arrived at UA in 2021. He redshirted his first season on campus and then played in just 2 games during the 2022 campaign.
The last 2 seasons, however, Keenan earned a starting spot on the defensive line. In 2023, he recorded 38 total tackles over 14 games. This past season, Keenan posted the best numbers of his career: 40 total tackles, 7.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks.
