Family confirms Ken Stabler’s death

As first reported by the Tuscaloosa News earlier today, former Alabama legendary quarterback Ken Stabler passed away at the age of 69.

Stabler played in three seasons under Coach Bear Bryant from 1965-67, before going on to have a great NFL career and become a four-time Pro Bowler. He led the Raiders to the 1977 Super Bowl title.

Stabler also worked on the Alabama radio broadcast team until 2008.

Stabler’s family issued a statement via Facebook:
