Alabama lands commitment from state of Utah’s No. 2 player Cameron Latu

Alabama landed its second commitment in as many days.
On Friday, the Tide gained a commitment from 4-star DE Cameron Latu. The Salt Lake City, Utah, native is rated as the nation’s No. 8 WDE and the state’s No. 2 player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He recorded 65 tackles, including nine sacks, in 2016.
The Tide beat out the USC Trojans for his commitment. He’s also a former BYU commit.
The 6-foot-5, 236-pound end became Alabama’s ninth commitment in the class of 2018, and he released a statement regarding his commitment via Twitter:
