Alabama LB drops SEC-heavy Top 9

Three-star LB Monty Rice of Madison, Ala. is leaning heavily toward playing in the SEC according to the Top 9 he posted to his Twitter account Tuesday evening.

Of the schools on the above list, which includes seven from the SEC along with Florida State and Michigan, 247Sports shows Rice as having the most interest in Alabama, Auburn and Georgia, having taken visits to the AU and UGA campuses in June. The site’s composite rankings list him as the No. 22 inside linebacker and No. 29 prospect from Alabama in the 2017 class.
