It’s no secret that both Alabama and LSU pump plenty of talent into the NFL each year… and it translates.
The two programs led in former NFL players on active rosters in Week 1. LSU totals 52 players on active NFL rosters, putting it just behind Alabama, which has a total of 58. Behind that pair are Ohio State (52) Georgia (44) and Notre Dame (37).
Among some of the biggest standouts from LSU and Alabama to currently take the field in the NFL include former Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow, who led his team to a Super Bowl in just his second year in the pros and ex-Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is at the helm of the Philadelphia Eagles offense now.
There are countless others — both seasoned veterans and rookies looking to make a splash for the first time — who are poised to make an impact this season and reflect just how dominant the Southeastern Conference is when it comes to preparing players to shine at the next level.
For 6 consecutive seasons, @AlabamaFTBL has had the most players on active rosters during NFL Kickoff Weekend ?
