Alabama no longer ranked No. 1 in AP Poll

Alabama slipped from the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25 poll following a last-second win over Texas A&M when the Crimson Tide defense had to make a last-gasp stand on a pass near the goal line.

Jalen Milroe’s turnovers breathed life into the belief that Alabama needs Bryce Young more than ever, especially with a road game at Tennessee this week. The Heisman Trophy winner sat out Saturday night with a sore shoulder and the Aggies came within an incomplete pass of 2 straight victories against the Tide.

After 4 Alabama turnovers, 3 by Milroe, the backup QB, along with 2 missed field goals, it was a white-knuckle affair for the Crimson Tide.

The last time Alabama fell in the poll was also against a team from Texas, and that came following a 1-point win over the Longhorns.
